This past week, we were a proud sponsor of live streaming at the Louisiana Gulf Coast Billfish Classic, where history was made! The first blue marlin ever weighed at Hurricane Hole marina came into scales on the last day of the tournament on HOOKS DEEP.
This is a classic story of persistence and determination, as team Hooks Deep had already gone through a 14-hour fight to lose a big fish at 2am offshore. Instead of throwing in the towel, the team persisted and angler Mason Lemieux hooked up to another blue which turned out to weigh-in at 622 pounds – earning them grand champion of the entire tournament. Pretty work guys!
